Hi, I’m Gioacchino — but my friends call me Gió. 🍷
The person behind the table
I’m from Puglia, from Barletta, but I’ve lived all over — Veneto, Abruzzo, Rome — before travelling Europe as a volunteer and eventually landing in Kraków, where I live and work.
My passion for food and wine runs deep, but over the years I’ve backed it up with formal training: I hold a beer tasting and brewing certificate from Rome, and I’ve passed the WSET Level 1 and 2 exams in wine and WSET Level 1 in spirits.
In Rome I used to organise craft beer tasting evenings with food pairings. In Kraków I brought that same energy, but with wine at the centre. That’s how Buona Idea was born — an informal, passionate project for sharing food and wine culture with anyone who loves a good table.
